Waterman's Crab House-Rock Hall, Maryland
The crab's at Waterman's Crab House are outstanding. Waterman's sits on Chesapeake Bay in view of the Bay Bridge which is about an hour away by car. They have a special on Tuesdays and Thursdays where for about $30 they give you all the crabs you can eat. While it takes about an hour and a half to get there from Washington DC it is well worth the trip.

Barbecue
Lexington North Carolina is the mecca of BBQ in the Carolina's and Lexington Barbecue is one of the best. The fact that the parking lot is filled on a Monday night is a testament to the Barbecue served here.
I found this place by accident and I am glad I did. Dixie Bones serves some of the best BBQ I have ever had anywhere. The owner Nelson H. Head is originally from Birmingham, Alabama. Dixie Bones started out in the Capital Hill section of Washington DC but lost its lease and moved to this location in Woodridge, Virginia off of I-95. If you are within a 100 miles of this place it is worth the effort to come here and eat.
The sauce they use at both Dixie Bones and Lexington Barbecue is vinegar based which enhances the taste of the meat rather than masking it.

Frank Pepe Pizzeria in New Haven Connecticut
This pizzeria located near the Yale campus has been serving great pizza since 1925. I have had pizza all over the country and this place is in the top 3.
The building is not much to look at but you can see the long line out front that the pizza being served inside is what people come for. I had to wait in line over an hour to get a table.
There are no tables at Frank Pepe only booths. The Neapolitan pizza is cooked in a coal fired oven. The pizza is a thin crust topped with the ingredients of one's choice. The suprising thing is the prices which were cheaper than most of the pizza places of note in Birmingham such as Davenports, Rocky's, and Daves.

Wellfleet Massachusetts
This the Wellfleet City Hall. The town itself dates back to 1620.
This is one of the local markets in town where you can buy fish fresh off the boat and produce that for the most part is locally grown.
This is the main street that runs through Wellfleet
This Winslow's Tavern which serves very good food. The Wellfleet oysters I had here were very good considering they were harvested that day.
This is the dock area of Wellfleet. Notice in the background the cottages that line the shore.
